Everyone in the world feels like they have times where they could be more productive. Even when you feel like you are doing something good, there are often times where you can feel as though you aren’t quite doing what you are supposed to be doing.

There are many habits that we can try to adopt to make us happier and healthier by using our time in a better way. There are many different positive habits that you can develop in less than 30 days that you can then use for the rest of your life which are going to keep you better off.

What Are Some Good Habits To Have In Life:

1. Creating, not finding, time to exercise

When it comes to doing exercise, many people avoid it using the excuse that they can’t find the time in their schedule. One of the bets habits you can possible start using is to create a schedule that works in your daily time for exercise.

This will soon become a lot easier and more natural so that after 30 days you’ll easily be able to fit in time daily for exercise keeping you healthier and happier.

2. Cutting the sugary drinks

For anyone who loves drinking carbonated soda drinks it can be very hard to think about giving them up cold turkey.

However, if you are able to do so for just 30 days then you will be far more likely to be able to maintain this for longer and also make sure that you are able to moderate your intake in the future. This will vastly improve the state of your overall health and the general state of your diet.

3. Getting to bed at a reasonable time

A lot of the time we spend a few hours at night doing things that aren’t very helpful to anyone, let alone ourselves. If you instead get into the habit of going to bed a little earlier then you’re likely to be able to get up a little earlier and therefore start your day in a more productive way.

4. Budgeting

It’s very easy to spend money that you probably shouldn’t on things that you don’t really need. This may mean that when you do need money for something essential you may not have it.

Making a weekly budget based on your income and essential spending means that you won’t have too many frivolous expenses (1) and therefore will be able to save more money for the future.

5. Meditation

Finding just a few minutes for meditation on a daily basis can bring a huge range of benefits to your life and overall health. Moments of quiet contemplation can be difficult to come by in modern life and making a habit of relaxing and visualizing what you are looking for in life can be brilliant for motivating yourself to go forward and be more motivated in the outside world.

6. Volunteering

If you have the time available then volunteering is an incredible habit to get into for a huge number of reasons.

Finding the time to go out of your way to help other people is a wholly positive experience and can really help you to become a more well-rounded person after just a short period of time; and once you are into the habit the chances are you will be able to continue it.

7. Reading

Another of the most popular ways to become a better person is to read more. Just 30 minutes to an hour every day is enough to get great benefits from the extra knowledge and creativity that you’ll be gaining from the practice.

It’s such an important thing to practice regularly as it is great to keep your mind active and to allow you to approach other parts of your life with more creativity and wisdom.

8. Doing something you enjoy first thing in the morning

This can constitute some of the other habits on this list and is simply a mental tool that you can develop to get you out of being quickly and into doing something productive in the mornings. It could be reading, exercising, meditating or another positive activity but if it gets you up and about then chances are it will be doing something positive for your mental and physical state.

9. Being kind to people

Most of us assume that we are good kind people yet often don’t make enough effort to show this to people. If you try in the first 30 days to show more gratitude and kindness to those around you, chances are this will become a more permanent habit and help make you a far nicer person to be around whilst allowing yourself to encourage yourself, and others, to be more positive.

10. Try to spend less time on social media

Interacting with people over the internet is a great way to stay in touch with people. However, a lot of time spent on the sites is spent scrolling through their life and opinions and not actually interacting with people.

Spending a little less time on these websites (2) frees up your life to go and do things that are more productive and will be ultimately more enjoyable.
